Anyone working with FileMaker Pro will want to keep this book in arms reach.

I’m not one to read a book cover-to-cover or even read a manual and I usually dive right in whenever I install a new program or an update comes out. Only when I get stuck or I look for an answer or an alternative way to approach a problem, do I pick up a book or dig through the manual. When I reach that point with FileMaker Pro, you can bet this will be the book I’ll search in first.

One example is the section on keys. It’s a great help and explores many options even creating unique identification (UID) values. This is so important in maintaining data integrity.

DPD Builders

One of our original clients, DPD Builders has been building magnificent homes in the elite areas of Northern Westchester County, New York and Fairfield County, Connecticut for over 29 years.

DPD Builders was due for a major upgrade, so we migrated their FileMaker 6 solution to FileMaker 9. We made numerous enhancements and updates. Below are examples of their redesigned system as well as screen shots of their original system.

We also designed and created the DPD Builders website and currently maintain the site updates.

Developers of FileMaker integration products including CCAuthorize and Java for FileMaker, Java Companion.

Premier Financial Services

Premier specializes in leasing exotic, vintage, and highline vehicles, and can finance any vehicle over $25,000.

Working with MicroServ, LLC, we migrated a version 6 system to version 8 by rebuilding some files and converting others. The FileMaker system runs Premier’s leasing program from inception – the leads, quotes and worksheets – to the lease documents and their portfolio management which includes servicing all aspects of the lease.

We integrated on-demand faxing and emailing forms, documents and leases. Integration also included Experian credit reports within FileMaker and CarFax vehicle reports.

Mobile Veterinary Imaging

Designed and implemented a database system for a mobile veterinary imaging lab. Exams are immediately written up as images are scanned. Invoices are created after visiting a hospital or clinic.
